Up to 200 appointments a month are marked as ‘Did Not Attend’ because patients fail to cancel their appointments.
Cancelling your appointment when you cannot make it will allow other patients to benefit , and will reduce wasted GP/Nurse appointments.
We have surveyed patients a number of times regarding access and patients are unhappy to have to wait longer than necessary to see a GP/Nurse – Therefore cancelling appointments helps ALL patients.
? Did you know that if you have provided a mobile number we will remind you about your appointment by text message – And if you cannot attend you can simply reply with the word ‘CANCEL’ which then cancels your appointment

Did you know that ‘MY HEALTH ONLINE’ service as being able to make appointments for GPs (including same day) and Order medication online , allows you to cancel appointments made online 24/ 7 – This in turn reduces demand on our telephone lines. You can now message us and change your personal details through the service.
